June

The year continues to whizz by!

Here are a few of my favourite things from June:

A Family Do

I went to a family Christening in Yorkshire on a beautifully sunny day. It was lovely to share his day with him and see so many members of the family together.

A Portrait Workshop

I went to a Street Portrait Workshop with David Graham at the National Portrait Gallery. It was a fantastic day and really pushed me to try something new – approach strangers and ask to take their photograph. The workshop was held on the day of Pride in London, and provided the perfect opportunity to photograph some fantastic people enjoying a great day in Trafalgar Square.

These are couple of my favourite shots, but you can see the whole set on my Flickr page:

A Photo-a-Day Challenge

I started doing the FatMumSlim photo-a-day challenge – Chantelle sets a prompt for each day of the month and the challenge is to take a photo inspired by that prompt and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #fmsphotoaday. I managed to do it every day through June, and had a lot of fun thinking of what to take each day. Here are some of my favourites:

Recipe of the Month

I’m still keeping up the challenge of trying a new recipe each week, and my favourite this month was American Style Pancakes. A very simple one but great for a weekend breakfast treat and I’ve made it a few times since.
