September

September has been a bit of a strange month for me, but featured lots of interesting photography projects.

Here are a few of my favourite things from September:

Freshly cut hair

I do get my hair cut regularly at Rockalily Cuts, but this time I had time to photograph it while it was still fresh and styled properly!

If you’re looking for a fantastic hairdressers specialising in vintage styles then you really should pay them a visit. I always come out feeling incredibly glamourous!

Photo-shoots with local businesses

This month I spent some time with two local business people – Simon Brown from Bah, Humbug Confectioners, and Julie Coxon from Julie Lou. It was great to learn a bit more about their businesses and spend some time surrounded by sweets and shiny pretty things!

Etsy

I set up a shop on Etsy – http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JayneLloydPhoto where you can buy some of my more arty work. At the moment I have listed the single-edition framed instant print images that were exhibited in 2011′s Chelmsford Arts Trail, but I will be adding more as I go along.

Recipe of the Month

It was blackberry season this month so I think recipe of the month should go to the Blackberry and Apple Loaf that I made for my weekly recipe challenge.

Blackberries

Blackberries

Sadly cocktail of the week didn’t really keep going this month, but my recommendation keeping with the blackberry theme is a Blackberry Gin Fizz for which there is a recipe here, or just muddle some blackberries in a glass, add a measure of gin, and top up with cloudy lemonade to create a super-simple tasty seasonal cocktail!

What were your September highlights?
